Odyssey - Piscine privée et accès au club de plage

Positive: Kitchen was good, price was "cheap" (due to massive overdevelopment in Tulum and not enough demand). This listing is just someone who rents a couple of condos inside of "Bungalos Village Tulum" (the condo building). The condo is in a gated community inside of the new built development called Aldea Zamá. Up to you to research this area before booking. We didn't like the area as it just felt like a newbuilt north-american subburb. Nothing Mexican about it. If its your groove, then cool. The whole area was dead (end of January high season), and so was the condo building. In 3 days, I only saw one couple who lived there long term, and who made me feel like the communal pool was their bedroom (literally). If you plan on walking from there to town, it felt safe during the day, but we didn't try it at night and I don't think it would be a good idea. So you have to rely on the expensive taxis or bike rentals. Negative: Condo smelled a lot like humidity, lots of mosquitoes inside when I arrived, no mosquito nets in the windows, I'm forgetting other things. The "beach club access" is not free, as there is an expensive minimum spend that all beach clubs request (maybe they had a discount?) The communications was in 2 places (Whatsapp and Booking), which was super confusing. They sent me the condo number over a month before I arrived, and I had forgotten about it by the time I arrived. My bad. When I arrived, I reviewed the listing on Booking and our conversation, and couldn't find any information about my room number. They only sent me a key lock number in the days before (on Booking), but not the room number (that they had shared on WhatsApp 1+ month before). Because of that, I also struggled to be let into the gated community. The condo is in an area where there is no cell service. I expected to arrive and see someone at reception, as I did for a similar condos in Mexico. My bad. I arrived there and there was no one at reception (there never is) and the wifi code is not written anywhere. I basically had to wait for an hour for a guest to come to the pool and give me the communal wifi code so that I could message the host. I managed to find a woman who was entering the property and could tell me my room number. Once I entered the condo, I found a big dice with a QR code on it, which I expected would connect me to the wifi. I couldn't open it because I didn't have wifi... (pro tip: there are different codes). The whole check-in process felt like an "Escape room" game, where I got clues as I went along. Good thing I wasn't in a rush.

Tulum en famille Positive: L'appartement est très spacieux, nous avons apprécié la machine à laver après plusieurs jours de road trip. La mini piscine est très chouette mais la quantité de moustiques et les nuisances sonores nous ont empêché d'en profiter comme nous voulions. Le lieu est sécurisé, les places de parkings juste devant l'entrée sont appréciables. Negative: Nous avons été très déçus de notre passage à Tulum : nous avons appris la veille que la piscine commune du complexe était en maintenance. De plus nous avons souffert des nuisances des travaux à proximité, au point de ne pas pouvoir rester dans l'appartement. Nous avons dû demander de nouvelles poêles et casseroles car ces dernières étaient inutilisables car très abîmées. Enfin, des cafards se sont introduits dans l'appartement. L'hôte s'est tjrs montré très réactif par message mais aucun geste commercial n'a été proposé pour compenser les nuisances. Dommage vu le standing affiché.

Great place, in a beautiful environment Positive: The pool, the garden, the environment and the comfortable size and layout Negative: The location is convenient only if you have a car, as the condo is off the main urban area.

Tolle moderne Unterkunft Positive: Das Appartement liegt neben einer relativ stark befahrenen Straße, der Lärm ist auf der Terrasse deutlich zu hören, uns hat es jedoch nicht gestört. Die Unterkunft ist sehr groß und sehr modern ausgestattet. Es befindet sich in einer sehr schönen, gepflegten Anlage mit Security. Der große (gemeinschaftliche) Swimmingpool ist super. Mit dem Auto sind es nur wenige Minuten nach Tulum (Pueblo) und auch zu den Stränden ist es nicht weit. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war sehr gut.

Positive: La comodidad del lugar, y el departamento muy bien equipado. Negative: Sólo se fue la luz por algunas horas en la mañana 1 día, pero fue en toda el área.
